RFP - Cultural Resource Contractor for NHPA Compliance
Request for Proposals: Due Sunday, June 29, 2025, 5:00 PM
The Crook County Soil and Water Conservation District (CCSWCD) is seeking a qualified archaeologist (Offeror) to assist with NHPA compliance on a juniper removal project in Crook and Deschutes counties. The project includes the removal of up to 2,500 acres of western juniper from Department of State Lands and private owned rangelands using equipment which may disturb the soil surface. It also includes installation of 4 miles of water pipeline and 12 troughs on a mixture of Bureau of Land Management and private land which will cause soil disturbance. This project is a key step in long-term regional ecological restoration.
Projected juniper cuts, pipeline, and trough are subject to change depending on budget constraints.
The project is expected to be completed by December 31st, 2025.
